CBEA Winter Youth Softball Camp

CBEA Winter Softball Skills Camp with UIC Softball Coaches, Staff and Players! 

WHO: Chicago youth, ages 8 - 12 who want to develop their softball skills

WHEN:

Monday, January 13, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Monday, January 20, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Monday, January 27, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Monday, February 3, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

TIME: Check-in begins at 6:15 p.m. Camp begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: The UIC Flames Indoor Turf Field at 901 W. Roosevelt Road in Chicago.

COST: $20 covers all four sessions. No child will be denied participation due to financial barriers. Please email info@cbeauic.org  to request a discount or fee waiver if needed.

WHAT: CBEA continues its partnership with UIC Flames Softball to provide quality softball instruction to Chicago youth. UIC Flames Softball players and coaches will serve as camp instructors, teaching young players the fundamentals of throwing mechanics, hitting, fielding and more. The camp curriculum also includes a player-centered social-emotional learning module, focusing on goal-setting, confidence-building, calming strategies and more.

Children who are 8 -12 years-old on the first day of camp are invited to register. Each player should bring their own glove and hydration, and come ready to play. Players must wear gym shoes or turf shoes (no cleats of any kind are allowed). Registration is required and capacity is limited.
